Sierra Guite

Sierra joined FBE in June 2024 after graduating from Colby College with a B.A. in Geology and a minor in Environmental Studies. During her time at Colby, she collaborated with a professor on small island resiliency research, focusing on wave and tidal patterns in Belize. Additionally, she analyzed geochemical data to determine sediment provenance from till samples in Antarctica. In the summer of 2023, Sierra interned with the Maine Geological Survey, where she helped map beaches and study erosion along Maine’s coastline. At FBE, Sierra assists with various projects, including data analysis, technical writing, fieldwork, and GIS.
