YARMOUTH, BAR HARBOR, WHITING, AND BIDDEFORD, MAINE

FBE conducted a series of natural resource inventories (NRIs) for the Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT) spanning six locations and 1,223 acres of land. Locations for the NRIs include Cousins River Marsh Preserve (Yarmouth, ME), Old Point Preserve (Lamoine, ME), Stone Barn Farm Preserve (Bar Harbor, ME), Orange Lake South and Lively Brook (Whiting, ME), and the Biddeford Woods (Biddeford, ME). Each inventory was rooted in extensive fieldwork, supplemented by desktop analysis and GIS mapping. The FBE team meticulously documented and assessed natural resource features at each site, including land use, natural community types, wetlands, watercourses and  areas with significant species and/or habitats, and any observed non-native, invasive plant species.
