Senior Project Manager, Ecological Services Lead, & Ecologist
As FBE’s Ecological Services Lead, Kevin Ryan specializes in project management, wetland delineation, reptile and amphibian surveys, and natural resource inventories. He oversees ecological assessments from planning through execution, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and with scientific rigor. Kevin excels at translating complex ecological data into clear, accessible content for municipalities, legal professionals, and the public. His expertise includes technical writing, GIS-based mapping, municipal analyses, land use planning, and expert testimony. A member of the FBE team for 12 years, he joined shortly before completing his Ph.D. in Wildlife Ecology at the University of Maine, where his research focused on the movement patterns, habitat selection, and conservation of New England’s rarest amphibians: the blue-spotted salamander (Ambystoma laterale) and the eastern spadefoot toad (Scaphiopus holbrookii).
Hobbies: field herpetology, mountain biking, & going to concerts (mostly metal shows).
