FBE has three experienced wetland scientists on staff who regularly conduct wetland delineations in support of culvert replacement projects. Properly-sized culvert replacements not only enhance infrastructure but also significantly contribute to conservation efforts. Well-designed culverts improve stream connectivity, facilitating the movement of fish and wildlife and allowing colder water fish to access thermal refugia during the summer. This, in turn, helps maintain healthy ecosystems and supports biodiversity by ensuring that aquatic species can survive in their natural habitats.
