Amelia Wallis

Amelia graduated from Bates College in 2024, with a B.A. in Environmental Studies with concentrations in ‘Water in Society’ and ‘Field Studies’. During her time as an undergraduate, Amelia collaborated with faculty to conduct water quality research on Lake Auburn, leading her to a year-long senior thesis studying how major tributaries respond under extreme storm events. In the summer of 2023, she interned with a soil scientist in the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Maine, with efforts to conserve natural resources in agriculture and forestry. At FBE, Amelia supports field work, data analysis, technical writing, and GIS mapping.

Hobbies: Pottery-making & rock climbing.
