SHORELAND PERMITTING
NEW HAMPSHIRE

The New Hampshire Shoreland Water Quality Protection Act (SWQPA), or RSA 483-B, protects water quality by regulating vegetation removal, excavation, fill, and development activities within 250 feet of protected New Hampshire waterbodies. FBE provides permitting services for a variety of environmental projects, including some that trigger the SWQPA. We have assisted many organizations, such as the Eastman Community Association (ECA) in Grantham and YMCA Camp Lincoln in Kingston, complete the permitting process for activities regulated by SWQPA, by preparing and submitting Shoreland Permit by Notifications (PBNs) and Shoreland Permit applications. FBE additionally developed supporting documentation for these applications, which include Shoreland Impact Plans, Impervious Cover Plans, Tree Count and Natural Woodland Buffer Plans, as well as facilitating the design of best management practices (BMPs) to effectively manage stormwater and erosion within these project areas.
